Lake Union Yacht Landing Shoreline Enhancement

Lake Union Green Shoreline

A beach restoration and coordination of an intensive permitting process by The Watershed Company allowed for successful, adaptive reuse of a 45-slip marina and repair yard on Lake Union by converting it into an eight-unit, luxury floating home moorage. Bulk headed beach was removed, softened and replanted with native landscaping to create a natural shoreline. Work included shoreline mitigation design, Endangered Species Act consultation, and permits from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the City of Seattle, and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. Neighborhood residents enjoy fish and wildlife that use the new natural shoreline, an attractive shoreline park, and new entry to the development.
